"ICONIC" Call for Artists Is Now Closed

SUBMISSIONS FOR ICONIC ARE NOW CLOSED

Iconic invites artists to explore the concept of “iconic” through literal or metaphorical interpretations. The theme is intentionally open to artistic interpretation.

The exhibition will feature original artwork in any medium (excluding AI-generated imagery), provided the finished work, including its frame, does not exceed 16" × 20" .

Opening Reception: Saturday, November 14, 2026, during Hannibal’s Second Saturday Art Stroll. Artists are encouraged to attend and help promote the exhibition throughout its run.

Exhibition Requirements

• Artwork must be no larger than 16" × 20", including the frame. Smaller works are welcome.
• All artwork must be original, professionally presented, and ready for installation (a wire must be on the back of wall art for hanging).
• New work will receive priority.
• Artists working in any medium are encouraged to submit.
• AI-generated imagery will not be accepted.
• Each artist may submit up to two completed works.
• Only completed artwork should be submitted; past work or portfolios are not needed.
• Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
• Ol' Blue Gallery retains a 30% commission on sold artwork.

Submission Instructions

Please label each image using the following format:

lastname_title

Example: smith_morninglight

Shipping & Delivery

Artists are responsible for all shipping costs to and from Ol' Blue Gallery, as well as any shipping insurance.

Artwork must be received by Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

Ol' Blue Gallery is not responsible for lost packages shipped without a signature requirement.

Artists will be notified immediately if major damage is discovered when artwork is unpacked. Minor frame scuffs, scratches, and normal wear will be considered acceptable at the gallery's discretion.

If artwork does not sell and needs to be returned by shipping, the gallery will contact the artist for a return shipping label. Artwork will be repackaged in its original box.

For artists in the St. Louis area, if there is sufficient participation, the gallery may arrange designated drop-off and pickup dates, likely at Terror Taco. Details will be provided upon acceptance.

Gallery Closure

Ol' Blue Gallery will be closed December 22, 2026–January 6, 2027.

Unsold artwork will not be available for pickup or shipping until January 7, 2027.
