CALL TO TRI-STATE ARTISTS!

Ol’ Blue Gallery Presents Haunted featuring work by artist (TBA). 

With the overwhelming response to last years Creatures of the kNight art exhibit we decided to do another Halloween-themed art show. Similar to last years show, this showing has a lot of room for creative interpretation from artists. The submissions should be created with the theme Haunted, and whatever Haunted means to you. If the weather is good, we would love to display some of the work in the courtyard of the gallery to extend the show outdoors. Works that are weather-proof are also encouraged. 

Work Media: Sculpture, 2D, 3D

Work Size: 18” x 24” 2D MAX; for larger-size requests or sculpture sizes (please email adrienne@artbytai.com and describe your submission to make sure we have room for the piece.

Entry Requirements: Pieces must be ready to hang/display. If framed, the framed needs to have hanging components. If 3D, it needs to have a stand, hanger, or be balanced so that it may be easily displayed. 

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Briefly describe your submission.
2. 1-3 clear photos of each request.
3. Artist Bio/Tell us about yourself

Timeline: October 20-22, 2023 (Opening Reception 10/20/23 @ 6 p.m. Please plan on attending)

Entries Due: October 1, 2023

Notification to the artist: You will receive an email from adrienne@artbytai.com on October 5, 2023, to let you know if your piece was accepted into Haunted

Accepted Artwork: Gallery curators will be setting up the work. Wall space will be provided, but easels will not, so if your work needs an easel please provide one with your name marked on it. All accepted work must be ready to hang and have your name and phone number on the back of the art (writen on masking tape is fine).

Delivery: Please drop off accepted work to 513 Church Street, Sunday Oct 15, between 11:00-6:00 p.m. *Let us know if you need to bring it before then and we can make other arrangements)

Reception: Ol’ Blue Gallery, 513 Church Street, Hannibal, Friday, October 20th, 6:00 p.m.

Exhibit Ends: October 22 at 2:00 pm

Pickup Artwork By: All work must be picked up by October 28, 2023, as this will be the gallery’s last day of the season. The gallery will reopen in the spring of 2024 and any pieces left can be scheduled to be picked up at that time. 

Publicity: Social Media, News Outlets. Please share and invite your friends and family

Sales: You are welcome to price your piece to sell. The gallery has a 20% commission rate for all art sales. We need to know the price you’d like us to list it at when it’s dropped off. NFS will be listed if it is not for sale. Ol’ Blue Gallery will issue checks if a piece sells, checks will be available for pick up on October 28th or can be mailed after that.
